Networking, interviewing, presenting, and problem-solving are skills needed in many professional contexts. Regular language courses already provide students with opportunities to build these skills. However, except in the “language for the professions” courses, there is often little awareness among students, instructors, and administrators about the role of the language curriculum in career preparation. This workshop provides practical ideas and resources to integrate workplace skills into our existing curricula in a more explicit way. It shows activities and strategies that can be easily adapted for different proficiency levels and different languages.
